Richmond: An Evening with Gabriela Montero at Modlin
Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month with fellow Greater Richmond Spiders on-campus at the Modlin Center for the Arts as internationally acclaimed pianist Gabriela Montero performs a richly evocative recital of Spanish and Spanish-inspired music!
Born in Venezuela and now living in Barcelona, Montero brings a deeply personal connection to this repertoire. Her performance will feature works by celebrated composers including Isaac Albéniz and Enrique Granados, alongside rarely performed miniatures by Alicia de Larrocha, the legendary Spanish pianist widely regarded as one of the greatest musicians of the 20th century.
This is a shared group experience for alumni to enjoy together, but the level of interaction is up to you. While there are no formal remarks or structured networking, you’ll have the chance to experience world-class artistry alongside fellow Spiders in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
