University of Richmond recognized by Princeton Review as the #1 Best-Run College; makes top 20 in 5 additional categories

The University of Richmond is ranked as the #1 Best-Run College and named as one of the nation’s best institutions for undergraduate education, according to The Princeton Review.

The education services company features Richmond in the 2018 edition of its college guide, “The Best 382 Colleges.” Last year, Richmond ranked 11th as a best-run college.

The University of Richmond received additional accolades on the following ranking lists:

  • #6 Most Beautiful Campus
  • #12 Most Popular Study Abroad Program
  • #16 Lots of Greek Life
  • #20 Best Athletic Facilities

Student quotes in the guide praise Richmond’s “unparalleled resources,” particularly the “high number of research, internship and study abroad opportunities available.” One student notes, “Richmond is incredibly generous with not only need-based but merit-based aid, which is unusual for liberal arts colleges of a similar caliber.”

Richmond has been selected by The Princeton Review every year the book has been published. The university consistently ranks as a top-tier liberal arts university and a “best value” by U.S. News & World Report, Kiplinger’s Personal Finance, Forbes.com and other leading college guides. Richmond also was selected as one of MONEY and ESSENCE’s 50 Best Colleges for African-Americans.
