Teaching and Scholarship Hub

The Faculty Hub is pleased to host Dr. Carlos Hurtado, Assistant Professor of Economics, for a workshop focused on student belonging. An adaptation of a session Dr. Hurtado facilitated this past summer at the Annual Conference on Teaching & Research in Economic Education (CTREE), this 90-min workshop will introduce participants to a variety of strategies that instructors can use in their teaching to promote a sense of belonging within their classrooms and explain why attention to student belonging within our classes is important for supporting student success.

This workshop is open to faculty and instructional staff from any disciplinary background and will take place on Thursday, September 29 from 1:30-3:00 p.m. in the Faculty Hub (3^rd Floor of Boatwright Library). Please register in advance to let us know you will be joining us.
