Faculty Hub Conversation: Adjuncts
Are you an adjunct professor in A&S, RSB, Jepson, Law, or SPCS? Would you like an opportunity to ask questions, build community, and make connections with faculty in similar instructional roles from across campus? Join us for a conversation to share teaching practices, get feedback from colleagues, and discover new teaching approaches for your current and future courses.
This month, we will begin with a discussion about the benefits and possibilities for using rubrics to communicate expectations and assess student learning. We’ll provide examples, strategies, and resources for building rubrics and we’ll also share some templates that can be uploaded to Blackboard. Then, we’ll open up the conversation to questions and other topics of interest from the group. If you are teaching as an adjunct faculty member in any department or school, you are invited to join the conversation!
This Faculty Hub Conversation series is co-facilitated by Kylie Korsnack (Faculty Hub), Carol Wittig (Library), and John Zinn (SPCS). Our next session will be Wednesday, November 9 from 12-12:50 p.m on Zoom.
Please register here if you plan to join us. Registration will remain open up until the start of the session.
Can't make this session? Join us for a future session of our monthly, lunchtime conversation series for adjunct instructors. Next meeting: December 14.
