Facilitating Challenging Discussions: Community Guidelines
Thu, Jan 11, 2024, 1:00 – 2:15 PM EST
Faculty Hub (3rd Floor of Boatwright Library) or Zoom
Establishing community guidelines or ground rules can help students engage fully and respectfully in classroom discussions. This session will offer some ideas for how to create and implement community guidelines in your courses; participants will also have the opportunity to share their own favorite practices for preparing students for difficult discussions in class.
Join us on Thursday, January 11 from 1 to 2:15 p.m. Note: Participants may choose to join in-person at the Faculty Hub or remotely via zoom. Coffee, tea, and snacks will be available to in-person participants.
