Richmond: Shadow Cities - Spider Alumni Night at Modlin
Join fellow alumni for a captivating evening at the Modlin Center for the Arts as Ephrat Asherie Dance, joined by Grammy award-winning composer Arturo O’Farrill and his ensemble, presents Shadow Cities on Friday. This new work blends Asherie’s innovative choreography with O’Farrill’s mesmerizing live music to explore the beauty, joy, and complexity of life in the in-between places, cultures, and generations.
Following the performance, alumni and guests are invited to a special post-show Q&A with the artists.
After several successful Modlin outings with our Boatwright alumni (graduates of 50 or more years), we’re excited to extend this unique cultural experience to all Richmond-area alumni. Enjoy an inspiring performance that celebrates creativity, collaboration, and the arts at Richmond.
This is a shared group experience for alumni to enjoy together, but the level of interaction is up to you. While there are no formal remarks or structured networking, it’s a wonderful opportunity to experience world-class performance art alongside fellow Spiders in a relaxed, informal setting.
