Happy Almost Valentine's Day!
There is much to love at the Faculty Hub and beyond this month. An adjunct conversation, a writing challenge, a writing retreat, an AI workshop on LLMs, and facilitated course assessments. Oh, and we also started a puzzle on the touchdown table if you are into that kind of thing :) There are some other great opportunities we are happy to share as well, including the River City Project, hosted by one of our campus partners, UR’s Office for Sustainability, an NCFDD webinar, a VIVA Workshop and course grants, the 2024 Innovations in Pedagogy Summit at UVA...and print UR Own V-Day cards with UR Book Arts. Be sure to scroll all the way down to see the ten things Andrew shared this month on his blog. There are some good ones!

Need to carve out some time to write? Join the Faculty Hub for writing retreats in our space on Friday, February 23, Friday, March 29, Tuesday, April 30, and Friday, May 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

10 Things From Andrew's Blog
The future of higher education and the state of generative AI are prime topics these days. Everywhere you turn, there is a story about the demise of higher ed and/or the latest development in text-generating AI. Questioning the value of higher education is a story that goes beyond just the new wave of generative AI technologies but these parallel narratives have me thinking about things like learning and nostalgia. Some of the links below touch on those ideas, and some don’t; either way, I hope you find something interesting…
