Congratulations on making it through the first week of the semester! As things move into full swing, so does activity in the Faculty Hub. We're here to support you all semester long, whether it is by providing a hot tea and quiet space to work, connecting you with colleagues to talk pedagogy, or helping you identify strategies to enhance your research process. Wishing you all an excellent semester, and we look forward to seeing you in the Hub in the coming months!

Partner Spotlight: 2026 River City Project
Are you a faculty member interested in integrating sustainability into your teaching and coursework? The River City Project, UR’s Sustainability Education Workshop, creates space for faculty to ideate on how to incorporate the practice and principles of sustainability into their curriculum by exploring sustainability frameworks, networking, and engaging in place-based education and transdisciplinary collaboration. Participating faculty will attend a workshop on May 5 and 6. Through design exercises and discussion centered on local-to-global sustainability issues and challenges, participants will develop a shared understanding of sustainability, explore sustainability competencies and pedagogy, cultivate a justice lens, and enhance their sustainability worldview.
Following the workshop, participants will be invited to continue as a cohort for the following year. Cohort members will convene for quarterly meetings for continued dialogue. For more information on the 2026 River City Project, please email Daniel Hart. To apply, please visit this link.
